Star Command, or Star Com was a toy line in the mid eighties. The premise was Earth had colonised it's solar system using two major technologies. Magna Lock basically magnets, when you can't create gravity through spinning your space station Magna lock does the job and it's so usefull for many other things too. All the toys had magnetic spots on them you could use to attach vehicles or people to. The other technology was Power deploy. All the vehicles and bulidings had the ability to fold up into a more compact packages for storage, which of course storage space would be at a premium in space so this technology was very usefull also. When you were ready to use your vehicle you would power deploy it, press the button and it would unfold itself or open up a new part of the vehicle.(on a personal note, my brother kept a LaserRatt on his desk at work, there wasen't an engineer that worked there that could resist pressing the power deploy button)
Anyway most of the toys looked like they could actually work in space, and they were fasinating to watch power deploy. The cartoon graphics weren't that good,but the story was told so that none of the laws of physics were broken.
