This is the 1978 Mattel Colonial Viper from the TV show Battlestar Galactica. It features an opening cockpit, and the ability to fire a missile from it's nose. It is missing the missile. The colonial viper toy from 1978 has the distinction of changing toy saftey policy in the united states for about a decade. Because of it, toys were no longer allowed to fire small missiles for a time. Hence the viper was made 2 ways one could fire a missle, the latter one had the missile attached and non firing. This toy is not packaged, and loose. It is missing the arrow stickers on the engines and it does not have missiles. The body is in good condition, and it is missing the pilot figure. Because of it's age this is a "as is " toy.
